Senior Photos

This shot was taken a few months ago at the Fort Worth Stockyards. What a cool street and interesting lighting. To answer your question: yes, she was sitting in the street on Main Street; however, she was safely ensconsed in a pothole repair area with flashing lights, road blocks and a vigilant mom. This was an awesome spur of the moment shot - my favorite kind!

I Am Boxer Crazy!

I was invited back to shoot the calendar photos for the Legacy Boxer Rescue annual fundraiser this year and I am thrilled! I love these guys! It's hard to believe that people would abandon, abuse and otherwise mistreat these gentle, loving, slobbery darlings.

Everyone who knows me, knows I am a dog person, so this is hardly work at all for me. Add to it that you can create an amazing shot like this one and I am in heaven. I LOVE this shot, and Mulligan's face says it all!

How do I love thee? Let me count the words. Umm, yummm, mmmm...

Doesn't help that I am trying very hard to avoid sweets. This is coconut cream pie from Horne and Dekker, a new restaurant that opened last week in Dallas. Address is 2323 North Henderson. Delicious!!!

Happy Spring! I wanted to share this photo taken a few weeks ago. Miss R came to have some portraits created before she got her full set of braces. We are in braces mode at this house, too, as my older child just had them put on. My daughter looks totally different now - completely like a teenager! I am glad that Miss R's mom had this done to remember the little girl that her daughter was just a few weeks ago!

Santa is Coming to Town!

It's that time again! Santa Claus is coming to the studio on November 13th and 14th. I love doing these shoots - even with the kiddos who start out crying. We always manage to get at least one smiling one of each child with Santa. We have our secret ways... Mostly a lot of patience and time. Santa is not so bad if he gives you candy, right???

October Recap

Happy November! October was a busy and fun month (well, minus the kids being home for a week plus with the flu)! I will post some of my favorite shots from the month. We had the seventh annual pumpkin patch in October, our first ever pet photography day, two very beautiful backyard weddings and lots of families coming in for their family portraits. I hope to give you a sample of each...

Pet Projects...

Oh goodness. Two posts in a month! What is the world coming to?
I wanted to share what I have been focusing on in the past couple of weeks. I am honored to have been chosen to photograph a calendar for a fundraising project for Legacy Boxer Rescue here in north Texas. I have been wonderfully overrun with Boxers (literally and figuratively). I like to shoot on the floor and that is just the perfect spot, in Boxer logic, to give lots and lots of kisses. Please enjoy the fruits of my labor of love.
